INTRODUCTION
I’m Jeremy from Mapua University. In my later years at university, I was introduced to the fascinating world of cybersecurity by an incredible professor who opened my eyes to the intricacies of networks and security. This experience ignited a passion within me, and since then, I have been dedicated to building my skills and knowledge to pursue a career in cybersecurity.
PROGRAMME EXPECTATIONS
I am thrilled to have joined a role that aligns with my passion for cybersecurity. The programme’s mission to bridge and lead more individuals into the cybersecurity field deeply resonates with me. This opportunity is a blessing for aspiring professionals like myself who are eager to make an impact. Through this role, I aim to be a gateway for future cybersecurity experts while ensuring the security of our community.
WHAT THE PROGRAMME MEANS
Since joining the programme, the CompTIA Security+ training has significantly strengthened my cybersecurity fundamentals while introducing me to new and exciting concepts. This training has truly expanded my knowledge in this dynamic field.
Additionally, the programme has connected me with experienced veterans who offer invaluable advice to early professionals like myself. Their guidance has been instrumental in my growth.
As I gain more experience and confidence, I am eager to give back by sharing my knowledge with fellow students at my university. I plan to organise an SOC lab workshop to teach them how to set up their own SOC labs, enabling them to test their theoretical knowledge and enhance their hands-on skills.
CONCLUSION
Being chosen as an ambassador has been a tremendous blessing, allowing me to develop my professional career in meaningful ways. Now, it is my turn to pay it forward by creating fruitful collaborations that leave a positive impact on our digital space.
