INTRODUCTION
I became a mentor because I know how much a good mentor can make a difference. Early in my career, I had a few mentors who were key in helping me navigate the challenges I faced. They gave me advice, supported me through tough times, and pushed me to think beyond the immediate issues. Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today. That’s why I believe it’s important to pay it forward and help others who are where I once was.
MENTORSHIP
Mentorship, for me, is more than just offering advice. It’s about helping someone gain confidence in their own skills, helping them see their potential, and guiding them through tough decisions. Mentoring also gives me the chance to reflect on my own journey. It forces me to think about how far I’ve come and how I can better support others.
CONCLUSION
The reason I chose to mentor through this programme is simple. You’re doing important work, helping people, especially from places like the Philippines, break into an industry that’s become essential in our modern world. Cybersecurity is growing, and so is the demand for skilled professionals.
The programme gives people the opportunity to learn, grow, and ultimately secure roles in this field. It’s a cause I can get behind, and I’m excited to be part of it.
